Tibetan Foot Soaks

When a tree dies, it is the roots that die first.
When a person ages, it is the feet that age first
–Ancient Chinese Proverb

Exciting news! We are now able to import the highest quality Tibetan herbs which have been tested and perfected and made into a powerful foot soak formula. Using this combination of Chinese and Tibetan herbs to assist your overall health and well-being is a fantastic way to overhaul your health. These organic and wild-crafted herbs were once reserved for emperors of China and Lamas of Tibet, but through our special connections in the region, we are able to bring them to you so you can experience the medicine that used to be reserved for royalty. These medicinal herbs are extraordinarily powerful and can treat many of the symptoms associated with the following conditions:

  • nerve pain, peripheral neuropathy
  • fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue
  • arthritis (both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis)
  • gynecological disorders, including endometriosis, painful menstruation
  • IBS and other digestive disorders
  • endocrine disorders
  • chronic stress, insomnia
  • cardiopathy, circulatory disorders
  • infertility
  • gentle detox

Imagine soaking your feet in a basin of warm, soothing herbal loveliness. The infusion gently allows the capillaries in the feet, which serve as little “highways of health” to the rest of the body, to release the detritus that has built up in them. By recirculating the old and dead tissue in the feet microcirculation improves and the body has a chance to strain these toxins from the bloodstream. When used over several consecutive weeks or months this happens throughout the entire body.

The soaks can be used in conjunction with acupuncture or herbs for specific ailments or on their own for general immune and stress support. For a very thorough explanation of the herbal foot soaks and the herbs in them, listen to this podcast by Robert Underwood and Chris Volesky.

Frequency is, of course, very important, and varies depending upon your particular condition. Especially for more severe conditions, daily soaks are often required initially for a short period of time, ideally during a course of acupuncture treatment. We often recommend consistent foot soak treatments over a period of three to four months.

After your initial foot soak orientation you can come in anytime during our acupuncture clinic hours to treat yourself to a foot soak in our foot soak clinic room. Receptionists prepare for each soak, so your visit should be scheduled. If you are living spontaneously then drop-ins are possible with an hour advance notice. You can also purchase the tea bags from our clinic for easy home use.
